All summer long there will be jazz music and events throughout the region as part of the Erie SummerLong Jazz Fest. The current schedule of events is listed below.
All Summer Long:
Jazz at local Clubs and Restaurants
Erie has a strong offering of jazz at local clubs and restaurants.
Places currently offering jazz include Nelsons, Scotty’s Jazz Club, Colony Pub & Grille, East Erie Turners Club, The BrewErie at Union Station, and Docksider.
Jazz may show up at other venues, so watch for announcements this summer.
July 4:
Boom at the Bay – Liberty Park.
Fireworks and great music with the Air Force Band and Squirrel Nut Zippers, a delta blues and gypsy band from the south.
July 9:
Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home concert series
1:00 – 3:00 PM – United Swing Cooperative
July 11:
JazzErie’s Jazz & Blues Walk, the night that State Street turns into Bourbon Street.

August 1 & 2: Erie Art Museum Blues and Jazz Festival, Frontier Park.
The 16th Annual Erie Art Museum Blues & Jazz Festval offers two days of great music in a beautiful, family-friendly outdoor setting, and it’s all free. Ten acts and workshops over the two days open with a Family/Children’s event on Saturday at noon, followed by an assortment of jazz, blues and related music. Bring your blanket and chairs and enjoy the day.
Saturday: Headliner Donnie Baker, blues emphasis.
Sunday: Jazz emphasis, acts TBA.
August 10: Sound of Summer Music Series
7:00 – 8:00 PM Gem City Jazz Ensemble. Curry/Schell Apartments.
7:00 – 8:00 PM Dixie Doodlers. Soldiers & Sailors Home.
August 14 & 15: Celebrate Erie
A celebration in downtown Erie featuring music, food and entertainment. A Jazz stage will feature performers from 4:00 – 8:30 PM on both Friday and Saturday.
September 17: Pennsylvania Soldiers & Sailors Home Concert Series.
1:00 – 3:00 PM Haener Brothers Big Band.
