JAZZERIE 2010-11 PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:


JazzErie’s 2010 - 2011 Calender will include the following events:

SUNSET JAZZ CRUISE
Dear JazzErie Member, Supporter:

Through the generosity of Nick and Kim Scott and Scott Enterprises, JazzErie is having its second Sunset Jazz Cruise fundraiser, this time on the larger Scott Free, now a 110 foot yacht. The Jazz Cruise will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 5:30 – 9:30 PM, with music by a live jazz trio of Al Zurcher on saxophone, Frank Singer on guitar and Tony Grey on bass. An hors d’oeuvre-dinner and cocktails will be served. Donations are $150 per person. Tickets are limited, Call Ed Goebel at (814) 870-7706 for reservations.

ERIE ART MUSEUM BLUES & JAZZ FESTIVAL

This two-day annual outdoor festival brings top-ranked international and area performers to an outdoor stage at Frontier Park. Bring your family, a blanket or lawn chairs, and enjoy great entertainment in a choice location. Co-sponsored by JazzErie.
Headliner for Sat., Aug. 7, 8 PM -- Blues giant Sugar Blue. Grammy Award-winning harmonica player and singer will bring his touring group to Erie.
Headliner for Sun., Aug. 8, 8 PM -- The Sonny Fortune Quartet. Saxophonist Fortune’s bio includes work with Elvin Jones, Frank Foster, McCoy Tyner, Buddy Rich, Miles Davis and many others, For the past 30 years he has worked and recorded primarily with his own quartet, which he will bring to Erie.
