All Summer Long: Jazz at Local Clubs and Restaurants
Erie has a strong offering of jazz at it’s local clubs and restaurants. The places currently offering jazz include Scotty’s, The Colony, The BrewErie, , Molly Brannigans, and East Erie Turners. Jazz may show up at other venues so watch for announcements this summer.
June 27: Erie Area Summer Festival of the Arts
The 3 day art festival will feature jazz all day Sunday.
Main Stage: 12:30 – 2:00 PM- The Gene Leon Spa Quintet
2:30 – 4:00 PM- Sack-O-Bones, a jazz band featuring trombones with saxophonist Charles Ventrello
4:30 – 6:00 PM- Carl Hultman and Jazz Friends featuring Barb
July 4: “Boom Over the Bay”
The City of Erie, Mercyhurst College and the Erie Hall of Fame present fireworks and jazz.

July 12: JazzErie’s Jazz and Blues Walk: the night that State Street turns into Bourbon Street.
10 clubs and restaurants feature the area’s best jazz and blues bands. A trolley transports the partiers from venue to venue all night. $10 donation.

The East Erie Turners will be offering the finale for the night with the appearance of the Dave Stevens Big Band. Musicians form the other bands playing earlier will show up for a jam session. A late night breakfast will be available.

The 16th annual Erie Art Museum Blues & Jazz Festival offers two days of great music in a beautiful, family-friendly outdoor setting, and its all free. There will be ten acts and workshops over the two days, opening with a Family/Children’s act on Saturday at noon, followed by an assortment of jazz, blues and related music. Bring your blanket and chairs and enjoy the day.
